Celtic confirmed that they have signed Olivier Ntcham on a permanent deal from Manchester City on Wednesday – and Hoops fans on Twitter were delighted with the news.
The Scottish treble winners announced on their official Twitter account that the 21-year-old had penned a four-year deal at Parkhead and will become Brendan Rodgers’ third summer signing after moves for Jonny Hayes and Kundai Benyu were already completed.

French midfielder Ntcham joins the Hoops having never made a single senior appearance for Man City, but had spent the last two seasons on loan in Serie A with Genoa, where he experienced his first taste of men’s football.
Last season saw the attacking midfielder make 20 appearances in the league, as he suffered with a number of injuries, but still managed to score three goals and supply one assist.
Rodgers’ signings at Parkhead have largely proven to be a success so far, and the Hoops fans are getting excited once more about their latest addition with a couple of them calling him a “brute” and a “tank” of a player.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Never make us wait this long again

You gotta compare our league to theirs though. Sinclair was awful at villa, look at us.
I have no doubt Ntcham will be a brute for us.

Ntcham has represented France at every youth level between Under-16 and Under-21 and has played alongside star Celtic striker Moussa Dembele for the Under-21 side recently.
