Celtic clinched their fifth Scottish Premiership in a row with a 3-2 victory over Aberdeen to end Ronny Deila’s reign on a high – but Hoops fans were more concerned with finally seeing the back of the Norwegian rather than their historic achievement.
Deila still has two more games to take charge of this season, but finally tied up the league title on Sunday in a game that almost ran away from Celtic.
The Hoops were 2-0 up at the break thanks to two wonderful efforts from Patrick Roberts, but were pegged back to 3-2 with 25 minutes left to play.
Celtic managed to come through the scare, but much of the Hoops faithful could not help but notice the poetry of the 90 minutes match and praise the football gods that Deila will soon be on the first plane out of Glasgow.
That game perfectly summed up Deila's reign at Celtic… Hopeful and entertaining to flat and desperate in 90 minutes. Roll on next season..

Honestly can't wait to see the back of that clown Deila.

Glad we're over the line. The final 30 mins is Deila's reign in a microcosm. Coasting, then chucking it. Onwards and upwards. #Celtic

That last sub makes me wonder if Scott Allan couldn't get a ticket so Deila put him on the bench to watch it this week.

Ronny Deila seems to pander to a lot of players and give them gametime when they are clearly rotten. He is not ruthless at all.

people wanting Deila to stay are half the problem, Embarrassed in Europe, Knocked out of cups, Horrible tactics and has lost the players

"I'm leaving Celtic in a better position than when I arrived" says Deila, before handing Efe Ambrose and Scott Allan contract extensions

Glad that season is over and Deila's away. Last 4 months have been torture. How Armstrong remained on that pitch ? Too many passengers

It's undeniable that this Celtic team are a shambles under Deila.

There were plenty of Celtic supporters who used the occasion to offer thanks to Deila and this tweet stood out amongst the wave of criticism.
I still hope, in the tales of Celtic's History, that Ronny Deila will be held in a positive light.
He's part of it all now.

Despite the disappointing season, Celtic fans have got to be drooling at the mouth over the talents of on-loan Manchester City winger, Roberts.
And Hoops supporters can continue to salivate at the mouth with the youngster set to return to Celtic Park next season thanks to an 18-month loan deal.

In other Celtic news, Roy Keane has been approached to take over from Deila in the summer.
