Football Insider rates the Celtic players after they recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory against Aberdeen at Hampden Park in the Betfred Cup final on Sunday afternoon.

Craig Gordon 7 – Wasn’t tested but kept a clean sheet.

Mikael Lustig 7 – Supported well on the overlap and produced an assured display in defence.

Jozo Simunovic 7 – Helped his side keep a clean sheet but he wasn’t really tested in the centre of Celtic’s defence.

Erik Sviatchenko 7 – Ensured Aberdeen couldn’t break through and made very few mistakes.

Emilio Izaguirre 7 – Didn’t have too much to do but did relatively well in defence and made sure Celtic didn’t concede.

Scott Brown (C) 7 – His usual bullish self, breaking down play and putting in a number of big tackles in midfield. Gave away a lot of fouls and was lucky not to get a second yellow card.

Stuart Armstrong 7 – Had a quiet first half but grew into the game and had a few chances towards the end of the game to extend the lead.

Tom Rogic 9 – The playmaker was a constant threat for Celtic and his superb strike gave his side the lead. He was instrumental in attack and was the star of the show.

Patrick Roberts 7 – Cut inside from the wing on a number of occasions and delivered some great balls into the box. A good performance.

James Forrest 9 – Stunning second goal after a brilliant driving run from midfield. Looked threatening throughout and also earned a penalty in the second-half. Man of the Match.

Moussa Dembele 7 – The striker struggled to get into the game and was generally kept quiet by Aberdeen’s defence. Not his best display but he scored the penalty to confirm the victory.
