Willian is set to meet with Chelsea this month to discuss a new contract, Football Insider sources understand.
The 27-year-old’s current deal ends in the summer of 2018 and the Premier League champions have scheduled discussions about an extension.
Chelsea, who tied Willian’s fellow Brazilian Ramires to a new, five-year deal last week, are believed to want an agreement in place before the end of the year.
Willian is Chelsea’s leading scorer this season with five goals and has been the most consistently impressive player for the club during what has been a wretched campaign.
The Blues slumped to their seventh Premier League defeat of the season yesterday with a 1-0 defeat to Stoke that leaves Jose Mourinho clinging on to his job.
Willian had been fighting for his place in the team following the summer signing of Pedro but the Brazilian has made 15 appearances in all competitions and kept his regular starting place as one of the three attacking midfielders behind spearhead Diego Costa.
Talks have been scheduled with the club, with the midfielder likely to feel his negotiating power has increased as a result of his recent form.
Willian has particularly caught the eye with his set-piece deliveries, scoring four free-kicks.
