Chelsea fans took to Twitter to give their verdict on the Blues securing a top-four finish and optimism was hard to find.

Guss Hiddink threw the gauntlet down to his players this week after declaring Chelsea can fight for the final Champions League place despite having a wretched opening half of their Premier League campaign.

His players duly responded by throwing away the lead away twice against West Brom in a 2-2 Premier League draw at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

The Chelsea supporters have endured a dismal season so far and judging from the post-match Twitter reaction, they do not see it getting any better.

This particular fan believes his worst nightmares may be coming true.

These two have differing opinions on what was needed.

Tottenham’s home defeat against Leicester allows Hiddink’s team to narrow the gap on the fourth spot by one point but Chelsea are a distant 12 points off the final Champions League place ahead of their clash against Everton on Saturday.
