Football Insider rates the Chelsea players in their 2-1 win against Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Thibaut Courtois 6 – Conceded his first goal in over 10 hours of league action but no fault could be attached to the Belgian for failing to keep out Eriksen’s wonder strike.

Cesar Azpilicueta 7 – The best Chelsea defender on show. His reading of the game was impressive and Spurs got no change out of him in the second period.

David Luiz 6 – Struggled to deal with Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the first half but was dominant in the second period as his side improved.

Gary Cahill 5 – Mixture of the good, the bad and the ugly. Made some solid interceptions but jittery in possession and struggled to deal with the speed of Spurs’ first-half attacks.

Victor Moses 7 – Attacked with gusto as he showed again why he is so suited to the wing-back role. Kept his head to slot away Chelsea’s second goal after a 60-yard run to meet Costa’s cross. Subbed after 79 minutes.

Marcos Alonso 6 – Provided a regular outlet on the left flank and got forward well but wasted a golden chance to put his team 3-1 up when he blazed over from just 10 yards.

N’Golo Kante 6 – Solid and energetic but not as dominant in midfield as he usually is.

Nemanja Matic 6 – Off the pace in the first half but grew in authority as the game progressed.

Pedro 7 – Maintained his excellent recent run with his third league goal of the season, a deliciously executed curler on the verge of half-time. It gave Chelsea the platform to go on and win the game and demonstrated the Spaniard’s ability to deliver in big games.

Eden Hazard 6 – Not up to his recent skyscraper standards and Conte showed his displeasure by substituting the Belgian after 76 minutes.

Diego Costa 8 – Did not get on the scoresheet but was key to Chelsea’s comeback with a display full of vim and vigour. The forward set up the second goal with a driving run and low cross to the advancing Moses at the back post.
