Chelsea have completed the £6million signing of Brazilian wonderkid Kenedy – and are set to send him out on loan to another Premier League club.

The Premier League champions have finalised a deal for the 19-year-old forward, who will join his Brazil Under-20 team-mate Nathan at Stamford Bridge next seasson.

Football Insider sources have learned that there are only the formalities of Kenedy’s transfer to complete and that Chelsea are confident of obtaining a work permit for the player.

He is then set to be sent out on loan to another Premier League club next season in order for him to gain experience.

The deal for Kenedy comes after lengthy negotiations with Fluminese that were complicated by third-party ownership issues.

As reported by Football Insider in April, the London club were closing in on the Brazilian after negotiating the terms of the deal with intermediary Giuliano Bertolucci, who also represents Stamford Bridge Brazilian trio Oscar, Willian and Ramires.

Kenedy, who has been compared in his country to Neymar, has played for Brazil at Under-17 and Under-20 level and is expected to progress to the senior side in the future.
