Former Tottenham star Christian Ziege has revealed that Harry Kane’s return to the Tottenham side against Arsenal is of vital importance.

Spurs’ star striker is expected to return in the North London derby, as he looks to finally overcome an ankle injury sustained against Sunderland back in September that saw him stretchered off the White Hart Lane turf.

Speaking to Tottenham’s official website, Ziege claimed that Kane possesses a natural talent in finding the back of the net and is hopeful that the striker will find score against Arsenal.

“Kane potentially coming back is really important,” Ziege said. “The way he’s played over the years, he’s a natural goalscorer. I like him because it seems to me he came out of nowhere and just broke out and kept scoring.

“I just hope if he plays he scores not one, but two or three against Arsenal. If Spurs manage to win this game it would be a massive boost.”

Spurs have failed to win in six league and cup encounters, scoring just three times in the process as Vincent Janssen continues to struggle in the shoes of Kane.

Before picking up the ankle injury, Kane had twice in five Premier League encounters for the North London giants and he will be hoping to add to that total if he features against Arsenal.

Along with Kane, Toby Alderweireld is expected to return to the side as is Argentinian winger Erik Lamela, who both missed Tuesday night’s Champions League tie.

A win for Spurs could see them leapfrog Arsene Wenger’s in-form Arsenal side, with a place at the top of the Premier League up for grabs if Manchester City fail to beat Middlesbrough on Saturday.
