Stan Collymore has described Tottenham’s Champions League performance against Bayern Leverkusen as “off colour”.
Spurs lost 1-0 to the Bundesliga outfit at Wembley, which further dented their hopes of qualifying to the knockout stages, as they lost their second consecutive game at the home of football.
Kevin Kampl slotted home for the visitors in the second-half to earn all three points for the visitors, in a lacklustre display by the north London club.
Broadcaster Collymore hailed the German club for the win, which puts them above Spurs in Group E.
“Off colour Spurs didn’t look comfy all game,” Collymore wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Bayer just about deserve the win.”

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have recorded only one win during their Champions League campaign, beating CSKA Moscow 1-0 in Russia.
The result on Wednesday night leaves Tottenham in third with four points from four games, two off Leverkusen in second and four off leaders Monaco.
Now, Pochettino’s side must turn their attention to domestic matters, as they travel to the Emirates to take on their bitter rivals Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
In other Tottenham team news, former striker Dimitar Berbatov has provided his verdict on summer signing Vincent Janssen.
