Roberto Di Matteo has not included Jack Grealish in Aston Villa’s matchday squad against Newcastle on Saturday evening.
The 21-year-old midfielder was embroiled in another off-the-field controversy in midweek, with the club investigating claims he was involved in an all-night party.
Di Matteo makes one change to his sides previous encounter, with Albert Adomah making his full competitive debut for the Midlands club in their Championship clash against the Magpies at Villa Park.
The Italian seemingly has opted for a 3-5-2 formation with Jonathan Kodjia, Jordan Ayew and Adomah the attacking options.
Striker Ross McCormack misses his second consecutive game, after going off injured at half-time against Brentford a fortnight ago.

Di Matteo’s side have drawn five out of their last six Championship encounters, as they sit in 18th place in the league with eight points to their name.
In contrast, Rafa Benitez’ Newcastle are in third place having notched up 15 points from their opening eight games.
Remarkably, this is the first time in any league in Europe that two former European cup winning managers are going to meet in the second-tier.
