Everton have made one forced change to their side as they host Liverpool in the Premier League on Monday night.

The Toffees manager Ronald Koeman has recalled Ramiro Funes Mori  to the starting XI for the Merseyside derby.

Phil Jagielka has been omitted as he serves a one-game suspension for a red card against Arsenal.

Funes Mori will hope to make the most of his opportunity against Liverpool and he will partner Ashley Williams at centre-back, who scored the winning goal against the Gunners in their last game.

Everton have announced their starting XI on their official Twitter account.

Funes Mori is currently fighting for his position at centre-back and has a huge opportunity to impress in the club’s huge clash against their rivals.

The 25-year-old has made 12 appearances this season across all competitions and could make himself extremely popular with fans if he delivers a strong performance.

Koeman is yet to decide a permanent partner for Williams in defence and Funes Mori could grab the place against Liverpool.

Everton will move up to seventh with a victory on Monday, while their opponents will go second if they gain the three points.

The Toffees will be confident after the 2-1 victory against Arsenal in their last match, but their opponents recorded a comfortable 3-0 away victory at Middlesbrough.

The Blue half of Merseyside will be hopeful of some revenge after losing the last league meeting against Liverpool 4-0 in April.
