Laurent Koscielny is omitted from the Arsenal team that hosts Swansea on Wednesday night – and is not included in the squad at all.

The defender is replaced in the starting X1 by Per Mertesacker as Arsene Wenger make three changes following Sunday’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United.

Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck drop down to the bench after being replaced in the starting X1 by Olivier Giroud and Joel Campbell.

Meanwhile, Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin will not be in the dugout at Emirates Stadium after being admitted to hospital with a chest infection.

In other Arsenal team news, Santi Cazorla has poured cold water over fears he could be sidelined for the rest of the season with an Achilles problem, and claimed he could be back at the start of next month.
