Stuart Dallas has failed a late fitness test as Garry Monk is forced to change a winning side for Saturday’s Championship clash against Derby.

Alex Mowatt has been named as the Northern Irishman’s replacement in the only change to the starting XI that beat Barnsley 2-1 before the international break.

Mowatt is set to line up on the left flank as Monk sticks with the 4-2-3-1 formation that has secured a string of impressive results.

Chris Wood is selected to spearhead the attack despite arriving back late from international duty with New Zealand.

Elsewhere, Monk names 10 of the players that beat Barnsley, as Kalvin Phillips gets the nod ahead of Ronaldo Vieira in central midfield.

Monk explained on Thursday that Dallas was to have a late fitness test ahead of the Championship clash at the iPro Stadium.

The left winger has made nine appearances this campaign and has been involved in the team’s recent turnaround in form.

Leeds have won five of their last six matches in all competitions, including four out of five league encounters, and Saturday’s game against Derby presents another chance to climb up the league table.

Derby reappointed Steve McClaren as their manager on Wednesday and his players will be desperate for a positive start under him.

In other Leeds team news, this player has revealed that the last two years have been hell for him.
