New signing Pontus Jansson has been named in the Leeds team for Tuesday night’s EFL Cup clash against Luton.
The on-loan centre-back, who signed from Torino last week, is one of 11 changes made by manager Garry Monk following Saturday’s 2-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday.
The 25-year-old partners youngster skipper Sol Bamba in defence, while academy graduate Tyler Denton is called int the senior team to play at left-back in place of the rested Charlie Taylor.
Intriguingly, midfielder Luke Murphy, striker Souleymane Doukara and goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, who have not figured at all in the opening five Leeds matches of the season, are brought in from the cold and given their first action of the campaign.

Doukara spearheads the attack in place of regular strikers Marcus Antonsson, who is on the bench, and Chris Wood, who is given the night off.
Attacking midfield trio Pablo Hernandez, Stuart Dallas and Kemar Roofe support Doukara after being omitted from the starting XI that beat Wednesday at the weekend.
