Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi have been omitted from the Liverpool team for Saturday’s Premier League showdown against Tottenham.
The strikers are on the bench as Jurgen Klopp opts to field a side without an authentic spearhead for yet another marquee clash.
Sadio Mane is restored to the starting X1 after missing the 2-0 defeat to Burnley last weekend through injury, while Joel Matip is handed his Premier League debut.
They are the two changes from the side that lost to Burnley, as Sturridge and Ragnar Klavan are both on the bench, alongside Origi.

Philippe Coutinho starts after being rated doubtful in the build-up to the match, while Emre Can misses out due to the ankle injury he sustained in midweek.
This means Georginio Wijnaldum, who has revealed he held transfer talks at Mauricio Pochettino’s house, and Jordan Henderson start in central midfield for a second consecutive match.
