Ryan Mason has been given the nod to replace Mousa Dembele for Tottenham’s Premier League clash against Southampton on Sunday.

Spurs are without Dembele, who starts a six-match ban for violent conduct, as well as Dele Alli, who serves the second game of a three-match suspension.

Heung Min-Son replaces Alli for the second consecutive match after being selected for Monday’s explosive 2-2 draw against Chelsea, which ended Spurs’ faint title hopes.

It also ended Dembele’s season after he was handed a lengthy retrospective ban for gouging Diego Costa’s eye during a fractious encounter.

Mauricio Pochettino has stuck with 10 of the 11 players who started against Chelsea as he makes only one enforced change for the Southampton match at White Hart Lane.

Spurs will clinch second place in the Premier League if they defeat Ronald Koeman’s side on Sunday. They begin the match three points ahead of third-placed Arsenal, who travel to Manchester City later in the day.

In other Tottenham news, Thierry Henry has predicted some big-name signings could be lured to White Hart Lane in the coming transfer windows.
