Former Manchester United winger Nani is set for a move to Spain after just one season in Turkey, it was revealed on Wednesday.
Fenerbache president Aziz Yildirim confirmed the Portugal international has agreed a transfer to La Liga side Valencia.
“Nani will play for Valencia next season,” Yildirim told Turkish news site AMK Sport.
The Spanish club are yet to confirm the deal, but it is reported that Valencia will pay the winger’s £7million release fee to lure Nani to the Mestalla Stadium.
Liverpool and rivals Everton had previously been linked with the former Manchester United winger, but it is now almost certain that Nani will not line up for either Merseyside club next season.
The 29-year-old is currently on international duty at the European Championships with the Portugal squad.
The skilful winger bagged 13 goals and 12 assists in the 2015-16 season and continued his good form with his national team this summer, scoring twice to help guide his country into the Quarter-Finals.
The quick forward has won 13 major trophies since his emergence with Sporting Lisbon in 2006 including, League Cup, Champions League and Club World Cup medals.
Liverpool announced the signing of Sadio Mane on Tuesday and Everton have reportedly turned their attentions to Poland’s Kamil Grosicki, so it is unclear where Nani ranked on either club’s target list.
In other Liverpool news, Martin Skrtel is on the verge of signing for Turkish side Fenerbahce.
