Four Tottenham players will leave the club this summer, it has been announced.

Out-of-contract winger Emmanuel Sonupe will leave when his deal expires next month and three Academy players have been released.

Armani Daly, Charlie Hayford and Chris Paul will depart after failing to convince the club that they should be offered professional terms.

The headline departure is Sonupe, who has been a member of the Spurs development squad and been involved in the Under-21s Premier League, where he was a regular starter.

Sonupe has never played for the first team but he made 18 appearances in the Under-21s league this season, scoring one goal and supplying five assists.

Following the announcement of the four departures, a statement on the official Tottenham website said: “We wish them all the best for the future.”

Tottenham did not announce that any first-team players were to be released, most notably Tom Carroll and Federico Fazio.

Academy graduate Carroll is out of contract at the end of next month and it is uncertain as to whether he will be at the club next season.

However, Spurs are almost certain to offer the midfielder a new deal in order to recoup a fee if they decide he is surplus to requirements.

In other Tottenham transfer news, the club have opened talks in London on a deal to sign a 32-goal striker for £12million.
