Tottenham have made two changes to the side for Saturday’s Premier League clash against West Brom at the Hawthorns.

Striker Vincent Janssen has been recalled to the team and will spearhead the attack in place of Son Heung-Min, who drops to the bench.

Ben Davies has also been selected in the starting XI, ahead of Danny Rose, who is not named in the matchday 18.

Midfield duo Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele, who were the regular pairing in the centre last season, are overlooked as Mauricio Pochettino sticks with the 4-1-4-1 formation that worked so well in the 2-0 win over Manchester City a fortnight ago.

Janssen will be supported by midfield quartet Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela, with Victor Wanyama once again selected in the anchorman role.

Son is on the bench despite coring five goals in his last six club matches.

Centre-back duo Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld continue at the heart of the club’s defence as they aim to maintain the league’s best defensive record.

Spurs have won their previous five games in all competitions, including four consecutive league victories.

In other Tottenham team news, the manager has singled out an emerging duo for their recent displays.
