West Ham have confirmed first London Stadium starts for Angelo Ogbonna and Adrian, while Dimitri Payet returns to the squad.

Italian champions Juventus are the visitors to East London in a pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon, as they build towards the new season.

The Hammers announced their team on Twitter, and also revealed Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon would be starting for Juventus.

Adrian played 32 times in the league for West Ham last season as they pushed for a Champions League spot, but their end of season form saw them finish seventh.

Ogbonna appeared in 28 of the clubs Premier League matches, and played a further five FA Cup games, having arrived from Juventus last summer.

The Hammers kick off their Premier League campaign on Monday, 15 August with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Antonio Conte’s new Chelsea team and the expected appearance of Payet is a huge boost after uncertainty surrounding the star’s future.

West Ham have already begun their competitive season due to their European commitments and progressed past NK Domzale 4-2 on aggregate to reach the next stage of the Europa League.

Payet is yet to play a game in the pre-season and was handed an extended summer break following his commitments for France this summer.

Jack Sullivan, son of West Ham chief David Sullivan, explained that Payet was given a minimum of three weeks holiday before returning to training.

The 29-year-old starred for the hosts at Euro 2016 with brilliant late goals in both of his national side’s opening victories and finished as a runner up in the tournament, after an extra-time 1-0 defeat to Portugal in the final.
