David Luiz will be given his second Chelsea debut against Liverpool on Friday night, Antonio Conte has revealed.
The Chelsea manager confirmed at his media conference on Thursday afternoon that the Brazilian centre-back will be in the starting line-up for the clash at Stamford Bridge in place of the injured John Terry.
Luiz, 29, returned to the Blues this summer from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of around £34million on transfer deadline day and was an unused substitute in last Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Swansea.
Sky Sports News quoted Conte on their Twitter account as saying that Luiz would be in the starting XI against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Terry suffered a foot injury against Swansea and was seen leaving the Liberty Stadium on crutches.
Sky Sports claimed on their Twitter account earlier in the week that Terry has strained ligaments in his foot and will be sidelined for 10 days, meaning he will definitely miss the match against Liverpool and the EFL Cup encounter with Leicester next week.
Luiz is set to partner Gary Cahill at the heart of the defence that will also include Branislav Ivanovic at right-back and Cesar Azpilicueta at left-back.
In other Liverpool team news, this is the expected starting XI against Chelsea on Friday night.
