Celtic stopper Craig Gordon insists Moussa Dembele can be just like Premier League stars Diego Costa and Harry Kane.
Dembele has been drawing the plaudits this season for his exploits in Scotland, where he has been in blistering form.
His Celtic team-mate Craig Gordon was full of praise for Dembele and his impact at Parkhead, comparing him to current Premier League star strikers Diego Costa, Olivier Giroud and Harry Kane.
The club are understood to want at least £30million for Dembele – although they would prefer for him to stay put – and Gordon insists that Celtic are spot on with their valuation.
He told the Daily Mail: “Moussa could be unbelievable – he really could. He is big, he is strong, he can finish. He is good in the air, his hold up play is pretty good, as well.
“You look at the big strikers down there [the Premier League]: Harry Kane, Giroud at Arsenal, Costa at Chelsea. They all have that style. He could be a top striker down there.
“But it’s great we have him and I hope we keep him as long as we can.”
The first signing of Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic tenure, Dembele burst onto the scene by netting a hat-trick in only his fourth league game.
What was even more impressive was the stature of the opponent and the tie, an Old Firm derby clash with Rangers.
The Hoops are currently 19 points clear at the top of the Premiership, thanks largely to Dembele’s efforts in front of goal, and the club will hope that his form can continue in the second-half of the season.
