You can say what you like about statistics.
Some people are obsessed with knowing them all, while others think they’re irrelevant.
Whatever your thoughts, the latest figures make Jose Mourinho look pretty stupid for not starting Juan Mata against Chelsea on Sunday.
Turns out the little Spanish maestro has quite the effect when he starts for the Red Devils.

United lost 4-0 to the Blues at Stamford Bridge and clearly missed their midfield star from the off.
It took just 30 seconds for them to concede and by the time Mata came on, Mourinho’s side we already 2-0 down.
Too little too late…
We reckon Jose should have a quick look at the effect Mata has on his side before they take on City later this week.
They’ve already lost to their noisy neighbours once this season and on current form, it looks like they could lose again!
Maybe Mourinho should start Mata?
Just a thought…
