David Prutton believes that Leeds will earn a narrow 1-0 victory against Burton on Saturday.
The Whites travel to Burton in the Championship and will be targeting three points as they look to climb back into the play-offs.
Garry Monk’s side were knocked out of the top six last week on goal difference and are now in serious danger of missing out on the end of season play-off games.
The Yorkshire club have accumulated just four points from a possible 15 recently and will need to recapture their top form at the weekend.
Sky Sports pundit Prutton has predicted Leeds to get a vital away win at 19th-placed Burton and has tipped their top scorer Chris Wood to get the decisive goal.
“Leeds’ falling out of the play-offs just goes to show how quickly things can change in this crazy division,” Prutton told Sky Sports. “Burton will give Leeds a real, good test but things are straight forward for Garry Monk’s men – they have to all of their remaining games, it’s as simple as that! And I think Monk will get a good reaction from his players when he needs it most.”
Leeds have been in the promotion picture for the majority of the season and their hard work could all come undone in the closing weeks of the campaign.
They will be fully focused on winning against Burton, before they host Norwich on the penultimate game of the season.
Monk’s side then travel to 23rd-placed Wigan on the final day and are likely to need a result to squeeze into the play-offs.
Leeds will be encouraged by the fact they beat 2-0 at home in the previous meeting this season and will hope for a similar result at the Pirelli Stadium.
In other Leeds news, Monk has responded to Premier League interest in their 26-year-old.
