Hat-trick hero Moussa Dembele and goal scorer Scott Sinclair both appeared in buoyant moods following Celtic’s 5-1 victory over Rangers on Saturday.

The pair took to Twitter with Sinclair applauding Dembele on his three goals, while the young French star told the former Manchester City wide man that it was his turn next.

Both players started the match and played the whole 90 minutes in their first Old Firm derby.

Sinclair, who moved to the club from Championship side Aston Villa in the summer offered his congratulations to Dembele on his personal Twitter account after the game.

Dembele, 20, who had also moved from the Championship from Fulham in the summer, responded to Sinclair by saying it was his turn next, while also thanking him for an assist.

Dembele grabbed two goals in the first-half and added a third late on when Rangers were reduced to just 10 men, as Philippe Senderos received a second yellow card for a needless handball.

Sinclair scored in between Dembele’s second and third goal on the hour mark with substitute Stuart Armstrong completing the scoring in the second half stoppage time.

Both players will have not done any harm in endearing themselves to their new club’s fans after scoring in the first match against their most hated rivals.

In other Celtic team news, Leigh Griffiths also took to Twitter to hail Dembele following his hat-trick.
