Aston Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo has spoken of the need for more new faces following the club’s 3-1 loss against Luton on Wednesday evening.
The Villans boss watched his side suffer a shock defeat against the League Two club despite going a goal up early on.
Jordan Ayew opened the scoring for the Midlands outfit, but goals from Jake Gray, Cameron McGeehan and an own goal from Jores Okore ensured a terrible defeat for the recently relegated club.
“We know that we need some fresh faces and players that can bring a fresh impetus to us as well,” said Di Matteo, as quoted by the club’s Twitter page.

Di Matteo is looking to return Aston Villa to the Premier League at the first time of asking this season.
However, they lost their opening day match in the Championship against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday meaning that the club haven’t tasted victory since 6 February, when they beat fellow relegated club Norwich 2-0.
New outspoken owner Tony Xia has been vocal about wanting the club to win promotion this season.
The Chinese businessman has put his money where his mouth is and has already spent £24million on four new arrivals, with half of it going on the £12million deal to bring Ross McCormack to the club from Fulham.
