Eddie Nketiah has become the second Arsenal striker signing in weeks, it was announced on Wednesday.
The Gunners announced on their official website that the 17-year-old forward has signed his first professional contract with the club.
Nketiah follows in the footsteps of Lucas Perez, who joined Arsenal from Deportiva La Coruna in the final days of the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old was purchased for a fee of £17.1 million from the Spanish outfit after Arsenal beat Everton to his signature and he made his debut for Arsene Wenger’s side in last Saturday’s 2-1 win over Southampton.
Emerging talent Nketiah was top scorer for Arsenal Under-18s last season, with an impressive 24 goals in 28 appearances.
The 17-year-old has continued his prolific run in the new season, netting four times in his first three league games for Kwame Ampadu’s team.
He also made his debut in the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday, coming on in the 0-0 draw at Paris Saint-Germain.
Nketiah has impressed with his speed and finishing skills ever since his arrival at the London giants’ Hale End academy in 2015.
“We would like to congratulate Eddie on his new contract, and look forward to his continued progress with the club,” an Arsenal statement read on their website.
