He has now followed Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Dalcio, Fabio Cardoso and Daniel Candeias in joining this summer.
Morelos has become the first Colombian to sign for the Light Blues and he is already an international for his nation’s Under-20s side.
The forward has completed his summer switch after impressing for HJK during the past two seasons.
He has made 62 appearances for them in that time and scored a sensational 46 goals in return.
Morelos has scored four times in six appearances during the Europa League qualifying rounds, something that the Gers will have to go through next season.
The Ibrox outfit have been draw in the first round against Progres Niederkorn from Luxembourg as they try to make it to the group stages.
Football Insider verdict:
Rangers have been in desperate need of a new central striker since selling Joe Garner to Ipswich and Morelos could be the perfect replacement. The 20-year-old has proven in recent years that he can be prolific in front of goal and a move to Scotland is a good next step in his career. He should bring a bit of extra quality to the Gers attacking third and take the weight of veteran attacker Kenny Miller. Morelos has huge potential and it’s a surprise to see no English side have picked him up after his goalscoring exploits. Rangers should now be able to get the best out of the youngster and will hope he can make a similar impact to that of Moussa Dembele at Celtic last year.
