Marcus Edwards has been named in the Tottenham side for their Premier League 2 clash against Manchester City on Friday night.
The Spurs sensation will feature from the start for Ugo Ehiogu’s team in the showdown at White Hart Lane.
Edwards has already made five appearances this season for the club in Premier League 2, which is a development competition for leading players aged 23 and under.
The 17-year-old has responded with three goals and two assists as he continues to gain experience against older players.

Edwards, who made his senior debut in Tottenham’s 5-0 League Cup hammering of third tier Gillingham last month, has a burgeoning reputation.
He has impressed in Spurs’ youth set-up in recent years as well as dazzling during pre-season for the senior team.
The left-footed playmaker was hailed as a future great in the build-up to the League Cup win by manager Mauricio Pochettino, who compared his style of play to Lionel Messi.
Given his involvement for the development side, Edwards is almost certain not to be in the senior squad for Spurs’ Premier League trip to West Brom on Saturday.
Nevertheless, Edwards may not involved in the next round of the League Cup later this month even though Pochettino’s side have been drawn away to Liverpool.
In other Tottenham team news, this is the expected starting XI against West Brom on Saturday.
