Eric Dier revealed his disappointment on Instagram following Tottenham’s stalemate on Saturday.
Spurs recorded a 0-0 draw against Bournemouth in their Premier League clash and missed the opportunity to move top of the table.
The result leaves the north London club fourth in the league standings and just a point adrift of league leaders Arsenal.
Spurs have now scored just one goal in their last three games in all competitions, as the absence of first-choice striker Harry Kane is finally beginning to tell.
Dier explained he was discontent with the result against Bournemouth, but did praise his team-mate Kyle Walker for his personal achievement of 200 club appearances for Spurs.
“Disappointing not to win but another clean sheet and we keep going, congratulations to the stallion Kyle Walker on making his 200th appearance,” Dier wrote on his personal Instagram account.
Dier, 22, played 90 minutes at centre-back against Bournemouth in the absence of the injured Toby Alderweireld.
The England international also played in defence in the goalless draw against Bayer Leverkusen and demonstrated his capabilities of switching positions from a midfielder.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is currently trying to work out his best midfield and Dier faces a battle to keep the position he featured in last season.
In other Tottenham team news, the club’s supporters reacted on Twitter to Mousa Dembele’s performance.
