Former Venezuela international forward and ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno has tipped Liverpool to beat Tottenham in Tuesday evening’s EFL Cup clash at Anfield.

The fourth round tie is set to be an enthralling encounter, which will see two of the Premier League’s form sides compete against each other.

Moreno stated that he had been impressed by the Merseysiders in the new campaign and claimed that Klopp’s team were becoming one of his favourite side’s to watch.

“Jurgen Klopp has come out and said that there will changes in terms of what he does out on the field for this cup tie,” told Moreno to ESPN. “I still think that Liverpool are becoming one of my favourite teams to watch, I’m going to take Liverpool.”

Liverpool are currently sat in third place in the Premier League table and sit with 20 points from nine fixtures.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are in fifth with 19 points from their opening fixtures.

Both side’s will be more focused on their respective league campaigns, with Spurs also competing in the Champions League, but both Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to get their hands on some silverware.

The two team’s have already met in the league this season, which saw the pair play out a 1-1 stalemate.
