Everton are reportedly lining up a move for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott – and the club’s supporters are divided on Twitter about a potential move.

The Daily Mirror have claimed that the Merseyside club are eyeing a £30million swoop for the wide man.

The 28-year-old has been in and out of the Arsenal starting line-up in recent years under Arsene Wenger.

He was unable to cement his position in the starting XI last season, but still managed 19 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions.

Everton fans on social media are split over a move for Walcott and are unsure whether the 47-time capped England international would make a strong impact at Goodison Park.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Ronald Koeman has already purchased six new players ahead of next season and Walcott is the latest player to be linked with a move.

Englishman Wayne Rooney, Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford have already joined the Toffees as Koeman brings in proven Premier League players.

Walcott has vast experience in the top flight and has 264 Premier League appearances under his belt, scoring 65 goals and supplying 49 assists in return.

The right winger is recognised for his great pace and has also expressed his desire to play in a central role throughout his career.

In other Everton transfer news, they are in a three-way battle to sign a Premier League forward.
