Everton fans were left disappointed on Twitter with the performance of attacking midfielder Ross Barkley in the Saturday afternoon clash against Bournemouth.
The 22-year-old youth graduate started the clash against the Cherries and played the full 90 minutes as Ronald Koeman’s side suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat.
Bournemouth winger Junior Stanislas’ goal proved to be the decider at Dean Court bringing the south coast side the three points.
Toffees supporters heckled Barkley on social media, with many urging him off of the pitch.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Why is Barkley still on? I feel I still have a chance of getting in that team if he can get a game #EFC

Comprehensively outplayed in all departments today. Koeman has some big decisions to make ahead of Palace, especially on Barkley #EFC

The attacker has featured in seven fixtures for Everton in the new campaign scoring two goals.
He was recently left out of Sam Allardyce’s first England side and many want to see an improvement from Barkley after an inconsistent start to the 2016-17 Premier League season.
Barkley has made 127 senior appearances at Goodison Park since gradating through the club’s academy and has scored 23 goals.
He currently has two years left on his contract and he could leave the Toffees in the near future if he doesn’t sign a new deal, or his poor form continues.
They will face Crystal Palace at home in their next fixture and they will look to pick up the three points at Goodison Park.
