Oumar Niasse scored a stunning hat-trick for Everton’s Under-23s on Monday – and the club’s supporters were shocked on Twitter with his performance

The striker netted three goals in the first-half as the club’s youth team beat Reading 6-3.

Niasse, 26, has been restricted to appearances in the Under-23s this season and failed to impress senior manager Ronald Koeman in pre-season.

The forward revealed that the Dutch manager told him to leave the club after watching him for just 45 minutes, with the Senegalese international failing to force his way into Koeman’s plans.

Everton fans were surprised with Niasse’s hat-trick and believe he could make a sensational return to the side.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Niasse completed a move to Goodison Park in the 2016 winter window from Lokomotiv Moscow, joining under former manager Roberto Martinez.

He has since unimpressed at the Toffees, failing to score in seven senior appearances for the club.

The striker appeared to have no future at the club but he has continued to impress for the Under-23s.

Romelu Lukaku is considered the club’s first-choice striker, scoring six goals in just eight appearances this season.

Enner Valencia and Arouna Kone are Everton’s other options but if Niasse continues to impress he could make a sensational return.

Niasse has struggled to adjust to English football but did enjoy good spell at his former club Lokomotiv.

He played 42 times for the Russian side during his two seasons with them, scoring 19 goals and supplying 14 assists.

In other Everton team news, Koeman praised the club’s ace after his performance against Manchester City.
