Everton fans have revealed their anger on Twitter as youngster Mason Holgate was named on the bench against Sunderland.
Ronald Koeman named a strong looking side for Monday night’s Premier League encounter and replaced Holgate with senior player Seamus Coleman.
The 19-year-old Hoglate has made a great impression at Everton at the start of the season and started in all four of the club’s appearances.
However Koeman has elected to restore Republic of Ireland international Coleman to the starting line up following his return to full fitness.
The Everton supporters were left disappointed that there was no place for Holgate in the starting XI against Sunderland and believe he should have retained his position.
Can't believe he has dropped Holgate ? done nothing wrong in my eyes #COYB

Holgate has certainly impressed the Toffees supporters with his displays at the start of the season and will hope to remain a part of the first-team.
The youngster can also be used as a centre-back and Koeman could look to use the versatile defender in his squad this season.
Holgate was named in Gareth Southgate’s England under-21 squad over the international break and is expected to have a big future at Goodison Park.
Coleman has been returning to full fitness after his commitments with his nation over the summer and has been the club’s first-choice right-back for several years since joining in 2009.
In other Everton team news, the club’s fans have reacted to the injury news of midfielder James McCarthy.
