New Everton manager Ronald Koeman is keen to trigger the release clause of Portugal forward Nani, according to a report.

Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on his website that the Merseysiders have expressed an interest in signing the former Manchester United winger.

The Portuguese star has an £8.5million release clause in his contract with Turkish club Fenerbahce.

It is said he has offers from Valencia and Inter Milan, with the Spanish side considered the favourites to land him this summer.

Nani played as the spearhead of the Portugal attack in their 3-3 draw against Hungary on Wednesday, which was enough to secure third place in their Euro 2016 group and qualification for the knockout stages.

The 29-year-old scored his second goal of the tournament after also netting in iortugal’s opening match against Iceland in Saint-Etienne.

He joined Fenerbahce last summer to bring to an end an eight-year spell at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Everton have been offered free agent Victor Valdes and have appointed Dutch goalkeeping coach Patrick Lodewijks.

In other Everton news, Koeman is reportedly ready to spend a big chunk of his £100million summer transfer kitty on these three stars.
