Ronald Koeman is expected to reshuffle the Everton line-up for their EFL Cup second-round match against Yeovil on Tuesday with big-name trio Romelu Lukaku, Yannick Bolasie and Ashley Williams in line to start.
Everton continued a solid start to their Premier League season with a 2-1 win over West Brom on Saturday, following on from their draw with Tottenham on the opening day of the season.
Midfield pairing Kevin Mirallas and Gareth Barry helped the Merseyside club cancel out Gareth McAuley’s goal and hand Koeman his first competitive Everton victory.
Koeman is expected to make wholesale changes to the side that defeated West Brom with the Yeovil clash taking place just three days later.
Spanish goalkeeper Joel Robles is likely to replace Maarten Stekelenburg in goal despite the new signing impressing since his move from Southampton this summer.
Another of Koeman’s summer acquisitions Williams could be given his full debut against Yeovil as he settles to life at Goodison Park, and could be joined by full-back Bryan Oviedo in a new-look defence.
The Dutch manager may hand duo Tom Cleverley and Aaron Lennon the chance to impress in the cup match after missing out to Barry and Mirallas during the early stages of the season.
Bolasie, who joined from Crystal Palace for £25million, could be handed his first start after appearing as a second-half substitute against West Brom.
The club’s star striker Lukaku is expected to spearhead the Everton attack after he committed his long-term future to the club and withdrew his transfer request.
The Belgium international has starred in 127 encounters for Everton, which includes an initial season-long loan before his permanent move, scoring 61 goals.
The quartet of Mason Colgate, Ramiro Funes Mori, Idrissa Gueye and Ross Barkley could all remain in the side after impressive performances already this season.
In other Everton team news, Koeman sent a message to the club’s fans after the victory over West Brom.
