Paulo Dybala has emerged as a leading summer target for Manchester City, Football Insider sources understand.

Incoming manager Pep Guardiola has told City chiefs to try and entice the highly rated Juventus striker to Etihad Stadium.

A City source has told Football Insider that Guardiola, who joins from Bayern Munich at the end of the season, believes Dybala is one of the world’s outstanding  young forwards.

He can play anywhere across the front line and has the capacity to score as well as create goals.

Dybala has had an excellent season with the Serie A champions since joining from Palermo last summer for £23million.

He has scored 16 goals and supplied eight assists for Juventus in 34 matches in all competitions this season, and has sealed his position as the first choice striker ahead of Alvaro Morata, Mario Mandzukic and Simeone Zaza.

The Argentina international is now rated in the £40million bracket by the Italian big hitters.
