Gerard Deulofeu must start when Everton take on Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Friday night.

Ronald Koeman should make one change to the side that lost 1-0 at Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

Winger Kevin Mirallas should make way for Spaniard Deulofeu, who has previously proven to have a deadly partnership with striker Romelu Lukaku.

Belgian Lukaku has scored four goals in five league appearances this term and the 23-year-old should continue up top, as the Toffees seek their fifth win of the season.

Yannick Bolasie must start on the left against his old club, with Deulofeu on the right, as both can cause problems to the Palace backline with their speed and trickery on the ball.

Koeman’s side have conceded only four goals during six Premier League encounters, therefore the in-form duo of Idrissa Gueye and Gareth Barry must start in midfield.

Additionally, experienced centre-back pairing Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams should continue to lead the backline.

With Leighton Baines expected to miss his second league game for Everton through injury, Bryan Oviedo should continue at left-back.

The Merseyside club have the possibility of going into second place with a win against Alan Pardew’s side, before the weekend fixtures kick off.

Palace meanwhile can go level on points with Arsenal who are third, with a victory at Goodison, after striker Christian Benteke scored a 94th minute against Sunderland during their previous league encounter.
