Tottenham youngster, Marcus Edwards has been tipped to become the club’s next big star and he’s already being compared to West Ham’s Dimitri Payet.
Edwards’ profile has grown even more after delivering a superb display for England Under-19s against Bulgaria on Monday night.
The 17 year-old scored a superb goal in the first half as his side claimed a 2-1 victory at the Wycombe Wanderers’ stadium.

The attacking midfielder made his debut in the EFL Cup against Gillingham under Mauricio Pochettino last month.
His goal against Bulgaria was a display of real quality as he controlled the ball with precision and prowess before unleashing an unstoppable volley into the top left corner of the net.
Tottenham fans are understandably getting excited about Edwards’ potential and have even gone as far as to describe him as a player sharing similar style to Lionel Messi.
Whilst those claims may be a little far-fetched, it’s become common consensus to compare Edwards with West Ham’s star midfielder, Payet.
The two share similar qualities and Edwards has demonstrated on a number of occasions at youth level, his desire to push forward from midfield.
Edwards’ goal against England has only heightened fans’ opinions further as Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to express their thoughts on his similarities with Payet once more.
Payet just washed spun and rinsed quincy promes…still no marcus edwards though

Reece Oxford says that Marcus Edwards is the best player he has ever played with.
That includes Payet, presumably?
