Liverpool fans have shown little mercy for Alberto Moreno on Twitter after several reports suggested Jurgen Klopp could look to replace the Spaniard.
German publication Bild understands that the Reds are trailing Sead Kolasinac.
The Schalke star has made 85 appearances since signing for the Bundesliga side in 2012 and could be an experienced option for Klopp.
The 23-year-old still has youth on his side and could be the perfect candidate to replace Moreno at Liverpool should the Reds follow through with their interest.
Moreno’s position in the side was questioned throughout the summer after he had produced a number of poor performances during the 2015-16 campaign.
The left-back was exposed in the second-half of Liverpool’s Europa League defeat against former club, Sevilla, and he has faced a lot of criticism already this season.
The Spaniard was dropped following Liverpool’s opening day victory against Arsenal in the Premier League and James Milner has since taken up the role as full-back.
Moreno started against Crystal Palace this Saturday as Milner was forced to sit out through illness and he played relatively well but fans had little sympathy for the Liverpool star on social media.
Here is a selection of the messages on Twitter:
Liverpool linked to 6"0 Schalke left back Sead Kolasinac. Been saying this for months. Klopp wants height and so Moreno and Clyne won't do.

Moreno better v. Palace yet blunder conceded another goal. #LFC should sign left back in January for Milner cover.

Alberto Moreno had a storming match against Crystal Palace (going forward at least) but I expect James Milner to come straight back in. #LFC
