England fans on Twitter have been discussing whether Harry Kane should start ahead of Daniel Sturridge – and there is a lot of debate about the two strikers.
Kane returned to the Tottenham team on Sunday and scored the equalising goal in the second-half of their 1-1 draw against rivals, Arsenal.
The Spurs striker was absent for two months after picking up ankle ligament damage during Tottenham’s 1-0 victory against Sunderland in September.
However, he returned with a bang last weekend and is contention to return to the England starting XI for their World Cup qualifier against Scotland on Friday evening.
Sturridge has started England’s last two games in Kane’s absence and could also feature in the clash against Scotland despite struggling to make Liverpool’s starting XI in recent weeks.
The Merseyside forward has been out of form this season and is yet to score in the Premier League, only picking up his four goals in the EFL Cup competition.
However, his international form is impressive and Sturridge has scored seven goals in 24 appearances for his country, including two in their last seven fixtures.
Neither striker has played regularly for their club this season but Marcus Rashford has also struggled to get many minutes. They are joined in the squad by Leicester striker Jamie Vardy but fans were undecided on who should start for England.
