Liverpool fans have reacted with interest on Twitter after it was revealed the club could consider a a shock loan move for Manchester United’s Luke Shaw, according to reports.

The Mirror claim Shaw could be a possible loan target for Jurgen Klopp after he was publicly criticised by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

The 21 year-old was criticised by Mourinho who accused Shaw of being reluctant to play through a pain barrier after he sat out Manchester United’s 3-1 victory against Swansea last week.

The left-back suffered a serious double leg break last year but has played seven Premier League fixtures for United this season, though his relationship with Mourinho has become a concern.

Shaw is believed to be upset by the public bashing and Klopp may consider a loan agreement with the left-back in January, the report claims.

Liverpool failed to bring in a new left-back in the summer and have utilised midfielder James Milner in the role so far this season as Alberto Moreno’s ability has come under question.

The Spaniard has featured sporadically since Liverpool’s 4-1 victory against Leicester City in September and has been overlooked in the defensive role.

The report suggests it’s highly unlikely the two clubs will do business though Liverpool fans voiced their interest at the suggestion Shaw could move to Merseyside in January.

In other Liverpool news, fans have urged Giorginio Wijnaldum to stay injury-free ahead of his international clash against Belgium on Sunday evening.
