Wolves have reportedly sacked their manager, Walter Zenga after less than three months in charge and fans have reacted with shock on Twitter.

Tim Spiers, a leading journalist for the Express and Star, tweeted the news on Tuesday and there was a mixture of surprise and disgust at the revelation.

There has yet to be an official confirmation from the club but according to a reports in the Daily Mail, his contract has been terminated.

Zenga took charge on August 1st and was at the helm for just 14 Championship matches, only picking up four victories.

Wolves have been in terrible form recently and currently sit in 18th place after losing four of their last five fixtures.

The Italian lasted just 87 days in charge after taking over on July 30th so it did come as some surprise to many supporters.

Despite Wolves’ poor form, there were plenty supporting the 56 year-old, as they vowed to give the Italian more time.

However, it seems Wolves lost patience after a poor run of form and they have a big challenge ahead of them as they sit four points from safety in the English second flight.
