Ravel Morrison is expected to complete a move from Lazio to Newcastle in the January window, according to a report.
The Sun have claimed that the 23-year-old, who has struggled to settle in Italy, is likely to complete a move to St James’ Park in the winter window.
The former Manchester United youth prospect was linked with a move to Rafael Benitez’s side in the summer, but a deal was not completed after manager Filippo Inzaghi confirmed that his English attacking midfielder was on the transfer list with the Serie A side.
The Sun report also states that Morrison flies home to Manchester each week to see his friends, and the former youth star could be eager to move closer to home.
Morrison graduated from Manchester United’s youth academy in 2010 and we was considered one of the Red Devils’ young stars, while also being tipped for a big future with England.
However, off the pitch decisions have stalled the now 23-year-old’s career after failing to settle at either West Ham or Lazio in permanent deals following Old Trafford.
The former bright prospect has only made 89 senior appearances since turning professional six years a go and he could now be set for fourth spell in England’s second tier.
