Kodi Lyons-Foster has revealed on Twitter that he has quit Aston Villa to join Bristol City.
The 19-year-old defender was due to leave Villa at the end of June after the club decided not to retain his services.
Lyons-Foster, who joined Villa from Tottenham at the age of 16, has found a new club after agreeing a move to fellow Championship club City.
The 19-year-old revealed he had agreed a transfer on his personal Twitter account on Saturday.
Lyon-Foster said: “Buzzing to have signed for @bcfctweets really looking forward to the season ahead and starting a new chapter in my life.”

The news was greeted favourably by several well known names at Villa Park, including Andre Green and Stiliyan Petrov who both expressed their delight at the centre-back finding a new home at Ashton Gate.
Lyons-Foster was not alone in being discarded this summer as Charlie Bannister, Janoi Donacien, Lewis Kinsella, Benjamin Siegrist, Joshua Webb, Charles N’Zogbia and Kieran Richardson were all let go by the club.
In other Aston Villa news, the club are interested in signing Juventus goalkeeper Nicola Leali.
