A team-mate of Charly Musonda has appeared to have confirmed the Chelsea wonderkid is poised to join Real Betis on loan.
Ola Aina, who plays with Musonda for the club’s Under-21s, took to social media side Twitter on Thursday to send a good luck message to his colleague.
“Good luck to my bro mussy @RealBetis @RealBetis_en will enjoy him #talented,” wrote Aina, who then quickly deleted the message.
Minutes later the right-back added a second Tweet that read, “I thought he had gone from what i saw my apologies”.
Nevertheless, Musonda will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge in the final days of the January window as be becomes the latest in a long line of academy graduates to go out on loan.
A Chelsea source has told Football Insider that Spanish club Betis want Musonda to sign an extended loan agreement, possibly even for 18 months.
