Garry Monk has his sights firmly set on the Championship’s top six as Leeds prepare to host Burton Albion on Saturday.
The Leeds boss is looking to build on Tuesday night’s penalty shootout win in the fourth round of the EFL Cup against Norwich, which has set up a quarter-final showdown against Liverpool at Anfield.
Posting on his personal Twitter account, former Swansea boss Monk is desperate to see his side secure a 10th win during his tenure as Leeds manager against Nigel Clough’s Brewers.
Monk, 37, is looking for Leeds fans to provide an atmosphere that will intimidate Burton at Elland Road, as Leeds look to edge closer to the Championship play-offs.
Currently sitting in 10th, Leeds are on 20 points and three behind sixth-placed Bristol City after a superb run of form that has seen the Yorkshire giants win five out of their last seven domestic fixtures.
Monk’s side could be without two first-team stars, as captain Liam Bridcutt continues to recover from a foot injury.
Switzerland international Gaetano Berardi has returned from injury after featuring against Norwich, but former Brentford winger Stuart Dallas is expected to miss out again as he continues to recover from a thigh injury. Pablo Hernandez is also expected to return.
In other Leeds news, Pontus Jansson has posted this message ahead of Saturday’s clash.
