Garry Monk has shared that long-term absentee Charlie Taylor “will be back with Leeds next week.”
The 23-year-old left-back has not featured for the Yorkshire giants since leaving the field with an injury against Brentford in December.
It was initially expected that the setback was just a minor one, but now after eight weeks on the sidelines fans will be delighted to hear he is close to a return.
The Leeds manager shared in his press conference in the buildup to Saturday’s match with Ipswich that Taylor was his only injury ahead of the game, but that he’s close returning to the side himself.
The press conference was covered by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Lee Sobot on his personal Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.

Taylor is one of the many stars of the Leeds team after breaking through the youth youth ranks and he has featured 25 times for the club in all competitions this season, bringing a return of three assists.
Fans will clearly be very happy to hear that the full-back will return to the side with Gaetano Berardi currently doing a solid yet unspectacular job in the left-back role.
