Garth Crooks has named in-form Tottenham attacker Heung-Min Son in his Premier League team of the week.

The BBC pundit admits he is a huge admirer of the south Korean, who has been a key figure in Spurs’ run of three consecutive league wins.

Tottenham beat Middlesbrough 2-1 on Saturday as they clinched their fourth consecutive victory in all competitions.

Son scored both of Spurs’ goals as the vindicated Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to start him for a third consecutive match.

The 24-year-old has now scored four goals in just four matches this season in all competitions after also scoring a double in the team’s 4-0 win over Stoke earlier this month.

“Four goals in two matches says all you need to know about Son and the way he is playing at the moment,” said Crooks on the BBC Sport website. “His two goals against Stoke were pretty amazing and these two against Middlesbrough were just as good.

“Eyebrows were raised by some Spurs fans when Nacer Chadli was sold to West Brom and Son remained at the club. No one is raising eyebrows anymore.”

Crooks’ team of the week: Cech; Bellerin, Smalling, Koscielny, Milner; Son, Coutinho, Pogba, Sterling; Aguero, Sanchez.
